LFCSA offers the Coyote Arts Program (CAP), our school’s After School Program. It provides enriching education opportunities that integrate the arts as a main platform for learning and exploration. This program offers students an opportunity to spend their afternoon in optional courses that will help them excel academically, socially and artistically, but also have some fun. Students begin their afternoon with free play and a healthy snack (sent from home). Then they participate in rotations between arts workshops and structured outdoor activities.
We engage students in a full range of educational and cultural arts experiences. They participate in a number of hands on workshops such as painting, drawing, music, dance, and drama. The curriculum teaches children art history, arts techniques and creative expression. In addition to the basic rotation of courses there are clubs periodically available through out the year including Yoga, Audio Tech, Chess, and Choir among others.
The enrichment art projects explore different themes each month. Some foundational themes include Culture, Exploration, Appreciation & Celebration, and Our Environment.
The after school program begins at the time of the child’s class dismissal. The program ends promptly at 6:00p.m.
BEFORE SCHOOL CARE
LFCSA provides FREE before school supervision every morning starting at 7:30am until students are greeted by their classroom teacher at the start of school. Parents do not need to pay for supervision at the start of school day.
