Waitlist & Enrollment FAQ

Public Random Drawing & Enrollment

Q: When will I find out if I received a spot?

A: We will begin to notify families for enrollment spots in April and continue throughout the summer as spots become available.

Q: If I am offered a spot, how long do I have to accept?

A: You will be contacted by phone and email. You will be given 24 hours to accept the spot. Note: if you applied under either the Free and Reduced Lunch Program or Glassell Park Elementary school lottery preference level, validation of information is required prior to being admitted. You will be asked to sign up for an appointment to bring in documents to validate your information.

Q: As spots are being filled, how can I follow up where I am on the waitlist?

A: The waitlist will be updated on the school website on the first Wednesday of each month.

Q: Can I visit the school before enrolling?

A: School tours are held between October – March. If you did not get a chance to join a school tour we will hold several new family orientations prior to the first day of school. This will give you an opportunity to see our school and learn more about our program.

Q: What is the Enrollment Process?

A: Once you accept your spot you will be sent a link to our enrollment site. You have one week to complete your enrollment forms. If you do not have access to the Internet, please contact the front office (323-539-2810) for a hardcopy of the enrollment packet. Once enrolled you will be invited to join us for an important orientation meeting. This parent/guardian only event will give incoming families information about our program, policies, and community building, so that there can be a smooth and informed transition to our school.
